Today started off a little rough. Audrey was on her second day of a cold, so I was attempting to be extra patient with her. I was trying to get out the door to Bible study and I couldn't find my cell phone anywhere. I jumped in the car and realized immediately that the dirty diaper I'd changed in the backseat two days ago never made it to the garbage can. It was raining, I was late, and now I ran the risk of showing up smelling like 2-day old poop. Lovely.
But, I made it. The ladies in the group either pretended that I didn't smell or I actually escaped the stench rubbing off. We had a great study, as usual, and the day ended much more smoothly than it began.
Here is this week's list:
1. Umbrellas. Especially big ones that cover me, my baby, my purse, the diaper bag, the shopping bags...
2. Clothes from Grandmas. I think it must be impossible for a grandmother to show up for a visit with her granddaughter without having a new clothing item in her hand. Audrey is one well-dressed little lady, largely because of her generous grandmothers!
3. Fabric softener. I only use it for towels and sheets, but I love how cuddly soft and sweet-scented it makes them.
4. #2 pencils. I thoroughly enjoy writing a list on a legal pad with a #2 pencil.
5. Progress. Whether it be physical, project-oriented, or personal growth related, progress feels so good and I'm grateful when it makes an appearance!
